Children learn to sail in one of our Optimists – the perfect dinghy to start at a young age. It is an internationally recognized boat class and is even sailed at the Olympic Games. We offer 4 types of courses, ranging from beginners to advanced and can be booked as complete courses with several lessons or as individual private lessons. All courses include a life jacket. Additional equipment such as wetsuits and shoes can be rented. <\/p>\n

The course is the introduction to sailing for our youngest students. Throughout the course, the children have an experienced VDWS sailing instructor right by their side. Good swimming skills are a prerequisite. At the end of the course, the children can decide for themselves whether they want to take the exam for the International Youth Sailing License of the VDWS, the largest water sports association in the world.<\/p>\n

In private lessons, the child is alone with the teacher. The instructor is always close by in the motorboat and can therefore respond individually to the student. A more intensive way of learning is hardly possible. The children love to achieve the goals they have set. Especially if the destination is the end of a dream bay and the way back. If you would like a little more, we recommend our optimist taster course. The course content is a slightly slimmed-down version of the Optimist beginner course. It includes 6 hours of training with an instructor and covers some basic theory, with a clear emphasis on practice. After completing the course, you can extend the course and obtain a junior basic license.<\/p>\n
